Improving the lives of people and communities

We recognise that many of our grantees continue to experience increased difficulties due to COVID-19. We understand that your capital project may now face delays, and/or you may not be able to submit reports on time, and we wish to be as flexible and supportive as possible.

From 2021, our grants officers will begin contacting grantees for updates on their capital projects. If you would like to discuss your current situation or your capital grant, please do not hesitate to contact your grants officer by email or via our online form.

In 2020, we awarded almost £2.5million COVID-related grants in addition to our normal grants budget. Read about our full response here.

The Clothworkers’ Foundation was set up in 1977 to be the primary vehicle of charitable giving for The Clothworkers’ Company. Since then, we have awarded capital grants of more than £152 million. Today, our primary aim is to improve the lives of people and communities, particularly those facing disadvantage, deprivation and/or discrimination. Registered Charity No. 274100.
